FAVORITE SON--a novel by Steve Sohmer, Bantam Books, First Edition, November, 1987, hardcover. Dark blue cover, red cloth spine covering, white spine lettering, 484 pages.
Signed/Inscribed on front free end paper: For Tony -- With best regards. -- Steve Sohmer -- Dec 1, 1987
A tense and political novel with distrubing echoes of truth. Sweeping and suspenseful,
it heralds the debut of the author.
.....Countdown to a new election has begun. The nation's cameras are trained on the steps of the U.S. Capitol. Senator Terry Fallon--the golden boy from Texas, the living embodiment of American decency--is about to become the catalyst of the most devastating political power struggle in decades.
--Cover has 'bumped' corners, some smudging of page edges from reading, some creasing of lower portion of back page edges. Otherwise book is clean, and in good condition. Straight spine, interior tightly bound with no torn or loose pages. ....Dust jacket retains $18.95 flap price, has shelf/edge wear, has no tears or chipping.

NOTE: I have acquired many hardcover books from an estate that were signed/inscribed to a 'Tony Christy'. They are all from the late 1980's - early 1990's. It appears that he had a brother connected to the California scene, and acquired the signed books for him.
